Hornsey High Street, The Three Compasses

Loading map...
The Three Compasses is a lovely old high-ceilinged Victorian pub (it was once a riverside pub before the New River was diverted underground!) with a good range of real ale, a separate area for sports and pool and a good quiz on a Monday night. This part of Hornsey High Street is well worth a visit, and you could spend hours nosing around in the auction rooms just a few doors down. If you ever need anything altered, head over to Mary Louise, just opposite the Three Compasses. They can work wonders with clothes that need a nip and tuck!

The school is Greig City Academy, which was one of New Labour's flagship 'City Academies'. It opened in 2002, and replaced St David's and St Katharine's, which had been a failing school with very poor results.
