Park Road, Corner with Middle Lane
This end of Park Road has long been home to a busy parade of shops. In fact, the building on the corner of Middle Lane was once 'Forbes Boden', a feed merchants serving breakfast lunch and dinner for the local horses as far back as 1852. It is now a restaurant called Monkey Nuts and caters for the locals instead of their horses! This is a great place to head for a meal or you can pop over the road and sit where Bob Dylan used to come for coffee at Banners, a thriving local restaurant. Rock Around the Clock is a fantastic destination for the musically inclined, selling fantastic guitars and other instruments as well as music books.
